If you enjoy a drink every so often, leave your cash out of the casino if you set out to do your drinking in a casino. I’m serious. Empty your handbag, your money belt, and keep all money, plastic credit and checkbooks back at the hotel. Pack whatever money you intend to spend on alcohol, tips and whatever pocket change you anticipate to squander and keep the remainder behind.
Pessimistic? Not by any means. Realistic more like. You might have a profit after a drunken night out with your friends and be lucky sufficiently to catch a 25 minute roll at a smokin craps game. Don’t forget that story considering that it is as short-lived as it gets if you always drink and wager. These activities simply do not go well together.
Keeping your money at home might be a tiny bit excessive, but preventative measures for excessive behavior is a requirement. If you play to win, then do not drink alcohol and play. If you can afford to blow your assets nary a worry, then consume all the gratis booze your stomach can handle, but don’t carry credit cards and cheques to toss into the mix of following squanderings after your drunken head loses all the cash!
Permit me to carry this 1 step more. Don’t consume alcohol and then head on to the internet to wager in your favorite online casino either. I love to beer from the coziness of my condominium, but because I am connected through Neteller, Firepay and have credit cards at my fingertips, I can’t drink and gamble.
Why? Even though I don’t consume alcohol a lot, once I drink, it’s clearly enough to blur my judgment. I bet, so I do not drink when gambling. If you are more of a drinker, do not bet at the same time. Both create a ferocious, and expensive, cocktail.
